Cadmus Delorme

Chief

Chief Delorme is serving his first term as Chief. His accomplishments in sports, education and living a healthy lifestyle brings a positive energy with a winning attitude. After graduating from Cowessess Community Education Centre in 2000, Chief Delorme eventually achieved a Business Administration Degree from the First Nations University of Canada and a Masters in Public Administration at the Johnson Shoyama School of Public Policy.

Curtis Lerat

Councillor

Councillor Curtis Lerat is serving his first term as Councillor. His accomplishments in gaining experience in numerous work environments and growing up both on and off the home reserve brings common experience to conversations and decision making items. Councillor Curtis is the longest serving President of the Powwow Committee, now serving his 5th year. The Powwow Committee has been recognized for running one of the most professional weekly bingos in the province and hosts yearly Powwows on the home reserve.

Carol Lavallee

Councillor

Councillor Carol Lavallee is serving her third term as Councillor. Her accomplishments with fundraising and assuring every child has a opportunity to grow in a health environment show she is a self motivated winner. Passionate about her family roots, Councillor Carol brings passion and opinions to each conversation and decision making item. For the past six years, Councillor Carol has helped organize the Home Reserve Christmas Dinner where fundraising covers the expense and children and youth see Santa and are given a gift.

Bonnie Lavallee

Councillor

Councillor Bonnie Lavallee is serving her third term. Her accomplishments include assisting a CMHC National Action Plan to better help First Nation people from high school to policy direction makers to bring better results to housing on reserve. Elected as the off-reserve position, Bonnie brings challenges and opportunities citizens of Cowessess live with. One passion Councillor Bonnie has shown is giving youth a chance; in 2017, she helped organize youth, both on and off reserve, to participate in the Youth Fastball Treaty Championships.

Rook Sparvier

Councillor

Councillor Lionel (Rook) Spariver is serving his second term as Councillor. Councillor Rook was Chief Sparvier from 1995-1997. His accomplishments in building capacity in governance and economic development bring experience and common sense to many discussions. In 2012, Rook was the Director of Economic Development and was apart of the team that build and negotiated a 20 year Purchase Power Agreement with Sask Power.

Richard Aiscaican

Councillor Richard Aisacian is serving his first term as Councillor. His combination of living throughout North America and education brings numerous view points to the discussion. He achieved a Masters Degree in California, USA and has served as a Student Leader during his time in University. Richard’s passion to preserve and protect land, water and air assures the importance to prepare land we are responsible on behalf of future generations.

Pat Sparvier

Councillor

Councillor Pat Sparvier is serving her third term as Councillor. Councillor Sparvier was Chief Sparvier for consecutive two terms, 2002-2005 and 2005-2008. Her background in Tribal Council seats, non-First Nation government positions and working within Education institutions brings extensive experience in governance and higher learning. A proud great grandmother, Councillor Pat is self motived and comes to the table with a teamwork attitude.

Malcolm Delorme

Councillor Malcolm Delorme is serving his third term. Living a clean lifestyle and living on the home reserve for almost his entire life brings stories of the past leaders and message of citizens whom sometimes are unable to speak up. Working in Trades, Malcolm provides to the decision making tables not everyone goes to University and we must assure people who work with their hands have options as well.

Jonathan Z. Lerat

Councillor

Councillor Jonathan Z Lerat is serving his first term. His experience in working in Public Works departments, both in First Nation and non-First Nation capacities as well living both on and off the reserve brings many viewpoints. Known for volunteering, Jon dedicated many hours to assuring different ages of citizens have a opportunity to enjoy their surroundings. In 2016, Councillor Jon achieved a Certificate in Teacher Assistance.
