Joanne started working for Cowessess First Nation in January 2017. She is the Community Health Representative (CHR) for the Cowessess Health and Social Development Department.
Many of you know Joanne as a hard-working Health employee and parent. On top of these duties, Joanne has also been working towards a Community Health Representative Certificate. Joanne has put in many additional hours attending classes, doing homework, researching and studying. The course she took educated her in many areas of the Health Care field.
Joanne was supported through this course by her family, friends and co-workers in the Health and Social Development Department. The Health department strives to offer continuing education support to help employees improve their knowledge and skills to better help the Cowessess Community. Continuing education is important and a mandatory portion of the requirements for becoming Accredited as a Health Department.
Today Joanne graduated from the Community Health Representative Certificate Program offered through St. Elizabeth Career College. She will continue to work as as the Cowessess CHR an important member of the Health team towards becoming Accredited.
The Health team is so proud of Joanne for achieving this accomplishment. Great work, Joanne, we knew you could do it and we are so happy you’re on our team!
